This year's LOG 30 Track Day will be held at the Summit Point Motorsports Park in Summit Point, West Virginia on Oct. 11, 2010.We'll be using the Shenandoah Circuit in its 2-mile 17-turn configuration, which includes a replica of the Nürburgring's famous Caracciola-Karussel banked corner.Please come join us for a fun and instructive day at the track!
A structural roof and/or adequate rollover protection are required for all high-speed activities. Open-wheeled cars are welcome and will not be mixed with sedans. Both a continental breakfast and lunch will be provided.
A drivers' meeting will be held at LOG on Sunday evening, PRIOR to dinner. Also, mandatory classroom sessions are scheduled for Monday morning at the track. Please check the LOG website for forms and additional information as they become available.
For the other members of your entourage, Summit Point offers spectating opportunities on the main Summit Point Circuit, which is scheduled to host a motorcycle event that day. In addition, Summit Point Kart (http://www.summitpointkart.com/) plans to be open on the Washington Circuit. We'll be adding more information about area activities later.
Summit Point Motorsports Park is located approximately 1 1/2 hours from the LOG hotel. Those wishing to stay closer to the track on Sunday night will find ample lodgings in Winchester, Virginia, which is approximately twenty minutes from Summit Point. Inquire about Summit Point discounts.
